In autumn of that year they were producing wheat, and kept this balance sheet to \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003etrack\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e details of their sowing and production, external sales, internal consumption, financial balances and debts. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe sheet also includes details such as who purchased the wheat, what is owed to each of the three Wheelers, or how much they owed. Thomas Wheeler fought in the French and Indian War, and died in Fite Miller tavern on his way home, on September 1, 1757. Noah Wheeler fought in the Revolutionary War under Colonel David \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSoutherland\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. He was a member of the 6th Regiment (Charlotte Precinct) \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDutchess County Militia. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHe was noted as being ranked \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFirst Lt. on March 30, 1778, and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003emade Captain June 25, 1778. Noah Wheeler married Eunice Newcombe (1748-1812), also of Dutchess County. Together they had at least 12 children. His sons, including Anthony and Thomas Newcomb, were all farmers who built strong estates in New York State.
