0001320DOn offer is a superb suite of three [3] original photographs of one particular woman on a visit or sojourn to the renowned 'Dove Cottage' [of William Wordsworth fame] in Grasmere, Cumbria England. All three photos are mounted on thick matte board. Circa late 1890s, all the photos have pencil inscriptions identifying the scene with a Wordsworth poem or quotation. One photo states 'Dove Cottage a Chat with Mrs. Dixon', another 'Lake Windermere' and lastly 'Friar's Crag'. 4 x 2.75 inches on a 5 x 4.25 board.
