On offer is the personal handwritten manuscript school autograph/memory book of Harriet Ann Blish [b. 1824, married September 12, 1848 William Cook] of Holmes Hole, Massachusetts. Pages include personal notes to Harriet most with signature and date. According to Massachusetts Town Marriage Records, a Harriet A. Blish (age 24, daughter - Wm T and Catharin) married William Cook (age 26, master mariner, son - Enoch and Jan???) on September 12, 1848 in Tisbury, Mass. Condition is very good. Book shows edge and corner wear; rear hinge weak. Red leather, gold gilt lettering on boards, spine cover is present but with several closed tears top half. Front free end page has been removed at some point; pages age toned, slight foxing, but overall, clean. Gold gilt on page edges; owner's name embossed on front (see inset). No evidence of moisture damage. First handwritten entry is August 31, 1842 and appears to be signed by a Geo W Pendleton followed by two dozen or so more individuals.
