On offer is an original historical manuscript document 'Letter of Demission of the Commitment member of the Middlesex Church' the Baptist church of Gorham [NY] to dismiss members for the purpose of forming themselves into a church and when so formed shall consider them dismissed from us'. Thus follows a list of names numbering 27 follows the above statement which is signed by George Douglas and dated 3rd March, 1838. Usual folds, some age-toning overall G.
