1956 ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT DIARY HANDWRITTEN BY AN INDUSTRIOUS TORONTO ONTARIO OIL INDUSTRY SALES REP
1217On offer is an original manuscript 1956 business date book and journal of oil salesman C. J. Creedon of Toronto, Ontario. Mr. Creedon details the oil industry using his journal for notes regarding his clients, their purchases, new industry information, notes on client problems and solutions etc. Mr. Creedon's day book will require some archaeological type digging as his book is a huge hodge-podge of information, appointments, sales figures, salesman's expenses etc. but Creedon's humanity is nonetheless on display with the odd personal an poignant note like 'Granny died!' and then 'Granny's Funeral.' The reader cannot help but sigh to read a note about a sale of 70,000 gallons of oil for 2 cents a gallon. Collectors and historians interested in this industry and its related businesses such as coal, fleet sales, taxi business in post World War Toronto and southern Ontario will have a wealth of information. 8.5 x 5.5 hardcover, 365+ pages all present and attached, good condition throughout but thumbed from daily use.
