On offer is a handwritten letter dated at ‘Melrose’ The Avenue, Norwood, 9 February 1897. Sending along the autograph of Mr. Manns, promising one of Fanny Davies, and requesting the opportunity to see his collection ”for I am interested in autographs."

Alfred James Eyre (1853-1919) was a British musician and Church organist. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music & served as organist at St. Peter's, Vauxhall (1867-1972 & 1874-1881); St Ethelberga's, Bishopgate (1872-1874); St. John the Evangelist, Upper Norwood, London (1881); & at the Crystal Palace (1880-1894).

Double sided card measuring 3-¾ x 6 inches. There is minor discolouration on the edges and the piece is in Very Good condition.
