1890s ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT RELIC OF MORAVIAN THOUGHT AT THE END OF THE 19th CENTURY: CHRISTIAN ARGUMENTS

On offer is a super relic of late 19th century Christian religious thought as written and presented by C.K. Howry of Willow Street, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Over 381pp in a neat hand complete with author's index to the manuscript, followed by his preface. The importance of the work to Mr. Howry is evident given the quality of the book itself: a gilt-stamped spine title 'CHRISTIAN ARGUMENTS', black leather morocco cover over flexible boards, 8 x 5 inches and two raised bands premium quality notebook. Research suggests that Mr. Howry espouses the state of Moravian Church throughout; the preface declares: 'I have written this as an incouragement [sic] to myself, as the truth, according to the word of God is always incouraging, and as there is no salvation outside of the truth of the word of God and to obtain salvation is of great importance and as there is no salvation except in the name of Jesus, neither is there any way to be saved from our sins but through Jesus. So in this writing I have shown what Jesus has done…I ask the reader to read it carefully and patiently, and examine it well with the Scriptures.' At back are handwritten copies of two letters of seven and five pages each, addressed to a Brother & Sister in the Faith.
