On offer is a super manuscript relic of medical education at the Harvard Medical School in the 1930s. The notebooks [2] are compiled by Dr. Jacob J. Longacre, M.D. [1907 - 1976] while a student. There are copious notes and hand drawn illustrations, charts in the hand of a young man who would become a nationally renowned clef palate and facial surgery specialist who practiced in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Headings include Clinical Pathology and Parasitology in one book and the second book is almost entirely medical illustrations of organs and other parts of the body. The 3-ring binders measure 9 x 7 inches and are about 1 inch thick.
