1856 ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT JOURNAL OF MEETING NOTES, WRITS AND RECORDS OF THE COLUMBIA UNION BRIDGE CORPORATION

On offer is a very interesting, original c.1856 manuscript journal labelled 'Records of Columbia Union Bridge Corporation Vol 2'. The 116 hand numbered pages, and a few that weren't numbered, begin with an Index of Writs and then many, many names and places the Company dealt with. While authorship is unidentified local researchers have many clues as the handwritten minutes, meeting notes, financial records etc. provide invaluable detail for historians and collectors of New England covered bridge commerce and history. Dates range from 1856 through 1860s. The odd piece of ephemera is tucked in. The book binding is somewhat poor to fair condition.
