1904 ORIGINAL HANDWRITTEN MANUSCRIPT BOOK AND PRECURSOR TO HIS PUBLISHED WORK ON THE CHURCHES OF SUSSEX ENGLAND

On offer is an original manuscript notebook, handwritten by published author Alfred H Peat, mainly on Sussex Churches. The book deals with over 40 churches and other topics, and was drawn on heavily for the author's published work "Churches and other Antiquities of West Sussex", published by J W Moore in Chichester in 1906. The book measures 23cm by 19cm, is signed "A H Peat, Chichester 1904" at the front, has 259 handwritten pages, and is bound in half red morocco, blue cloth boards.
