The unknown writer discusses geology in terms inclusive of astronomy, archaeology, zoology and spiritual connection to the fundaments of the earth. The fields are discussed, the history of earth's Geology is explained in lay terms in an overview with some references to God's laws, universality of God's laws, light, transmission, sound that existed before humanity, and then the writer compares the timelessness of the Grand Canyon with the idea that in Christ's time it was the same as now. Compares incomprehensible Geological time with human measurement of time. Summary - Scientific, not preachy, Science and nature are wonderful measures of time, history and evolution (most likely in accordance with God's plan.) It reads like a lecture or presentation talk or possible an article though the author mentions Miami County, Kansas, Cumberland and Blue Ridge Mts., the Alleghenies, Appalachians, Sierras as places he has visited.
