On offer is an interesting archive of 20 original 1930s - 1940s handwritten and typed letters 15 or so between Professor C. Calor Mota of Puerto Rico and Dr. Albert Shaw, the well known author and editor [there are a few other letters from others some relating to comment interests]. Incoming letters from Mota and the retained copies of Shaw's letters make for a rare and complete correspondence as the two explore the mid Wars and pre World War II era. Historians and researchers of Pan Americanism and American Exceptionalism will find Shaw's comments fascinating. Thanks to American Ideals, the world will be safe for democracy and as in the last war of 1914-1914 America stands firm for justice and liberty. The fight will be hard and ruthless and unless the German people defeats by internal revolt those in power now and which controls the German Government as they did during the last war, the war that the American nations have stuck together in this world crisis, thanks to the good neighbor policy developed by President Roosevelt. Pan Americanism is now accomplished fact and I hope that future administrations will maintain it at high level as it is now…" Overall G+.; Manuscript; 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall; KEYWORDS: HISTORY OF, CANDELARIO CALOR MOTA, UNIVERSITY PUERTO RICO, ALBERT SHAW, AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM, ANTI HITLER, ANTI NAZI, PRE WORLD WAR II POLITICS, CARLOS MOTA, CARIBBEAN, CENTRAL AMERICAN, AMERICANA, HANDWRITTEN, MANUSCRIPT, AUTOGRAPHED, AUTHORS, AMERICANA, MANUSCRIPT, DOCUMENT, LETTER, AUTOGRAPH, KEEPSAKE, WRITER, HAND WRITTEN, DOCUMENTS, SIGNED, LETTERS, MANUSCRIPTS, HISTORICAL, HOLOGRAPH, WRITERS, AUTOGRAPHS, PERSONAL, MEMOIR, MEMORIAL, PERSONAL HISTORY, ARCHIVE, DIARY, DIARIES, ANTIQUITÉ, CONTRAT, VÉLIN, DOCUMENT, MANUSCRIT, PAPIER ANTIKE, BRIEF, PERGAMENT, DOKUMENT, MANUSKRIPT, PAPIER OGGETTO D'ANTIQUARIATO, ATTO, VELINA, DOCUMENTO, MANOSCRITTO, CARTA ANTIGÜEDAD, HECHO, VITELA, DOCUMENTO, MANUSCRITO, PAPEL,
