On offer is a fascinating, original typed letter signed [TLS] on United State Senate letterhead signed J. Thos. Heflin dated May 20th 1932. The letter returned to him by the Post Office due to the wrong address of Mr. John L. Waldron of Garden City New York who Heflin in this brief letter reveals his bitterness succinctly as writes about Congress giving him a "raw deal on his political contest. The vote was not open the law and the evidence, it was under the lash of Alfred Smith and Raskob". He continues by claiming that a reporter believes he is being punished for 'bolting' Smith in 1928 and more. Overall VG.
