694On offer is a handwritten manuscript diary, though undated is for 1925 research finds, of an extensive train trip from Watertown, New York to Los Angeles, California our unidentified author, a woman in all likelihood in her twenties does the whole tourist experience in California for almost 6 weeks, from July 1st through August 14th when the diary ends mysteriously on the return train when she has reached Kansas. She does an admirable job of naming all the travelers she meets and spends even the briefest of time with. Many different experiences from traveling though the Rockies, in Las Vegas to the spectacle of movies opening in the movie capitol of the world! A sighting of Robert Montgomery at the train station is one of the highs while sadly the drowning of a young boy is one of the few lows.
