1869 SUPER, ORIGINAL ALGEBRA CYPHER BOOK HAND WRITTEN BY A YOUNG LONG ISLAND MAN WHO WILL GO ON TO PROMINENCE AS A LOCAL BUSINESSMAN

On offer is a superb example of an algebra notebook from 1869. This 18-page notebook is in excellent condition. Once belonging to W.W. Wood from Huntington, Long Island, the notebook is filled with examples of algebra problems and their solutions. The notebook covers a period from April 6th, 1869 to June 23rd, 1869. The writing is a combination of pencil and ink. It is written in a very firm hand and contains no erasures. Several entries are signed "W. Wilton Wood" which happens to be the name of a prominent local business man who lived in Huntington, Long Island.
