Shawborn & Newell requesting their help in shepherding the proposed act of the state legislature of the Commonwealth of Kentucky through the appropriate channels, signed by Thos. B. Shields, Jos. McCabe & J.J. Peterson, 2) a manuscript petition signed by 43 people from Bourbon, Harrison and Scott Counties, 3) manuscript of the proposed act to form the company of light artillery with 1-7 sections, and 3) a two page manuscript of the act as written by the Kentucky House of Representatives entitled H.R. 276, An Act for the benefit of the Leesburg Light Artillery dated Feby 7, 1849 Pape & House Reps. Att. F.J. Helm…. All with normal folds, light scattered foxing and light even toning, VG+.
