On offer is a fascinating State of Massachusetts historical 3 page handwritten ALS dated March 28th 1863 on executive stationery wherein the Governor of Massachusetts, John Andrew, writes to asks his counterpart in Connecticut to assist and support the commission of General Hamilton to Brigadier General and also to see to 'getting his [the General's] family away from Texas...' and 'that steps should immediately be taken for the relief of the Federal occupation of Texas.' Items features double signature of which one is quite bold by Governor Andrew. VG+
