On offer is a superb Prussian Soldier's Militair-Paß [Military Pass] and handwritten record of participation in Prussian campaigns against Austria and France. for a man named Pässler who served in the Prussian Infantry. The pass states Pässler: Geboren am 17 Juli 1844 zu ____ bei Hollburg. Sixth Infantry Regiment, 11th Company. Apparently he took part in the famous battle at Königgrätz [Sadowa] in 1866 [research suggests he was with Herwath von Bittenfeld's advance to Dresden in the Kingdom of Saxony, where they easily defeated the Saxon army of 25,000 and then joined with the First Army]; served in Frankreich 1870-71; Beaumont, Verdun, Sedan, Paris. Includes 4+ pages: "Bestimmungen für Mannschaften der Reserve und Landwehr". Paper booklet with elaborate, elegant German calligraphy; lightly soiled, good. 15 pp. 8.5 x 17 cm. Overall G.
