This lovely, leather-bound, travel journal, was handwritten by a lady named Mary Moore of Coral Gables, Florida and chronicles a European trip she made with a girlfriend in 1957. It provides a fascinating account of Mary's tour from January 25, 1957 through mid-August. She wrote about her travels by boat, plane, and train, as well as about her journey to various European cities and the many places of interest she visited at each location. She also wrote about the people she met, the hotels where she stayed, the restaurants and nightclubs she went to, and her daily activities and shopping excursions. Mary was a very descriptive writer and her travel journal provides an exciting 'trip' and a lovely series of 'postcards' for the reader. Even more entertaining is the printed information given on all aspects of traveling in the front of the journal and some very nice black and white photographs of the cruise ships and airplanes of the 1950's. The leather cover of the journal has some scuff marks, but it's in otherwise good condition. All of its pages are present and secure.
